Reflection #13 15/4/2010

What did I do?

I transpose the 16 bars of my own song to the E major scale plus discussed the groups Mr. John gave us

What did I learn?

I learned to get along with my group and we must teamwork to do like a little band

What's next?

We have too practice many times for the song so it's good

What did I do?

Today is the assessment time so I played my song with my musical instrument which is guitar in front of the teachers and my friends

What did I learn?

I learned not no be nervous because I was nervous in front of everyone and my song is a little bit bad

What's next

I should perform my song but better next time

Reflection #11 8/3/2010

What did I do?

Today, I do a transpose from A and E major scale to C major scale

What did I learn?

I learned the way how to transpose notes

What's next?

I need to remember where is the locations of the sharps beside the G-clef

Reflection #10 4/3/2010

What did I do?

I corrected the mistakes that were still in the composition and fix them.

What did i learn?

I learned that I shouldn't put too many notes that has 4 beats or else the song will be ugly.

What's next?

If Mr. John ask me to do another composition, now I know how to make it good

What did I do?

I did the C,G,D,A,E,B,F,C# scales

What did I learn?

I learned the sharp numbers in the scales C-C#

What's next?

I must remember the placement and the number of sharp signs on each scale and know their location

I did a lot of note taking about the Major scale

What did I learn?

I learned how to correctly place a sharp on a note.

What's next?

I should remember how and where to place the sharps on the notes.

I watched a presentation given by Mr. Herry about "How to create a blog"

What did I learn?

I learned the steps how to make a blog for my music reflections with the right format

What's next?

I should daily update my daily reflection blog so I know what I did last music session

What did I do?

My composition was corrected by Mr. John because my composition still has many mistakes.
What did I learn?

The correct technique to make a composition is A,A,A1,A1,B,B,A1,A1

What's next?

I should try this revised version in my guitar so i feel comfortable with it.

What did i do?

I finished my composition but there were still some mistakes

What did i learn?

Now i know how to make a 32-bar composition plus I already tested it on my guitar and it's good

What's next?

I should be practicing more with my guitar doing the 32-bar composition.

Reflection #4 4/2/2010

What did i do?

I continued my own music creation until it was 16 bars. it's supposed to be 32 so i'm not done yet.

What did i learn?

I learned a Japanese song called "Sakura"

What's next?

I need to finish my song until 32 bars.

Reflection #3 8/2/2010

What did i do?

I'm starting to create my own song with 4 bars first.

What did i learn?

I learned the 3 pentatonic scale and use 1 for my song and that's important for the song.

What's next,

I need to continue more than 4 bars for my own song so it can be completed.

Reflection #2 1/02/2010

What did i do?

Today, i wrote in my music book, notes about the pentatonic scale that is C major,G major, D major and A major scales

What did i learn?

About the pentatonic scales and the placement of the sharp signs and what is it for. and tha arrangement of the pentatonic scale as well

What's next?

I should try to memorize these scales and do my HW which is B,F and E major scale which i must do as HW

What did i do?

Today, i wrote the natural scale in my music book.

What did i learn?

I learned the rules for music class. that we should have a folder, music book, stationary and student journal. and then we should put our shoes in the rack.

What to do next?

I should keep following the rules and be quiet in class.
